Last few hours in Delhi at Janpath - great shopping!
Here is the Lotus Temple in Delhi - obviously shaped like a lotus flower. It is a temple for the B'hai religion.

Here we are at the Qubut Manar - the oldest monument we saw. It was built in the 13th century. The British had to restore the upper portion of the minaret twice because it was struck by lightning.

Here we are at the largest mosque in Delhi! 20,000 people pray here every day. While we were here they were setting up tarps to protect the people praying from the heat. It was hottest day on our trip to date!

  1. It's great that you'll be able to get another completely different experience in Southern India. Thanks for keeping up the blog, and for the pictures too!

Alexis...after reading your latest post, we've arrived at the conclusion that your friend's dad was Sarah Peterson's pediatrician when she was a baby and we were living in Grosse Pointe! I mean, how many Dr. Relich are out there with a daughter named Natalie? What a small world! He's a smart guy, so our advice would be to heed his advice and try the local coffee:).
